The Permanent TSB have changed their logo for gay pride to “fight for equality” for the gay community according to their in-app notification.
However their redesigned gay logo has caused some customers to question if the Permanent TSB app on mobile devices is actually the official app or is it a scam or fraudulent app?
One Permanent TSB customer contacted TheLiberal to highlight that she initially thought the new Permanent TSB app that appeared on her phone was a scam or a fraud.
“I couldn’t find the normal banking app icon on my phone but noticed this multi-coloured new app icon. I foolishly clicked on the new multi-coloured app and really thought this was a scam or fraud app. Permanent TSB has created a potential fraud risk for their customers by changing their logo and I’m sure I am not the only customer who thinks this” says the woman. “In hindsight, I should not have clicked on this unfamiliar logo, I should have immediately deleted it. A bank should not be causing such confusion. The whole logo change smacks of a fraud or scam” she says.
