Permission has been granted to build hundreds of wind turbines on Ireland’s coasts, which will lead to greener and more efficient energy production processes, hundreds of jobs, and a financial boost for coastal communities.
Planning will soon begin for the construction of seven wind farms at sea across Ireland’s western and eastern seaboards.
When fully operational, the facilities are expected to generate enough electricity for around 400,000 homes each, and remove 600,000 tonnes of carbon from the air.
