A number of viral videos have provoked disgust and anger and prompted one arrest so far after it showed a care home worker violently beating a defenceless and vulnerable older man.
The disturbing footage shows a black man who works at an elderly care home facility in the US state of Michigan punching and tormenting elderly white patients who appear to suffer from some kind of mental debilitation.
In one of the videos the man is seen punching a helpless elderly man in the head while in another an emaciated patient is being struck by the same man who seems breathless from the beating, he is giving.
Fortunately after widespread sharing of the footage the perpetrator was identified and arrested however, major media outlets in the US have refused to cover the shocking story with some online pondering if the racial roles had been reversed would it have been so ignored.
