Person comes forward to gardai in relation to Dublin hit-and-run which saw a car strike a pedestrian

In relation to a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Dublin, one individual has presented themselves to the gardaí, reports RTE.

At around 8:45 p.m. yesterday, a car and a man in his 40s were involved in an incident on Lower Rathmines Road in Rathmines.

After being transported to Dublin’s St. James’s Hospital, the man’s health is reportedly stable, reports RTE.

The involved vehicle did not stay at the site.

Since then, a person of interest has voluntarily come forward and given a statement, according to the gardaí, reports RTE.

Although they have said that they are not searching for any other cars connected to the event, Gardaí are still seeking witnesses.

Anyone with information, particularly those with camera footage from the area at the time, have been asked to contact Rathmines Garda Station on 01 66-66-700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 66-6 1-11, or any garda station, reports RTE.
