Peter Casey has said that he will not take any salary as President if he gets elected on Friday.
Currently Michael D Higgins receives €5,000 a year resulting in €250,000 salary and a further €300,000 in expenses.
Peter said that he’ll donate the money to charities around the country working with county councils to see who deserves it most.
