Pfizer confirms that it will deliver 50,000 extra doses a week for ten weeks

Ireland’s Covid-19 vaccine programme will be increased over the coming weeks ahead as Pfizer and BioNtech have confirmed that an additional 50,000 vaccines will be delivered each week.

The announcement comes after it was announced earlier this week that Ireland is to receive 547,000 doses on top of their initial order.

It is understood that Ireland will receive the vaccines over a ten week period beginning on April 26th.

The news comes as EMA are also expected to announce their decision over the use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

It is believed that the agency will make a decision on the vaccine next week.
