The ever so popular National Ploughing Championships will get underway in Ratheniska, near Portlaoise in Co. Laois, this morning.
Almost 280,000 attended the event in 2014, and organisers are hoping for a similar turnout this year.
Over 1,500 trade stands will be on display.
Gardai are advising those attending to be careful while driving around the slippery roads in the area, and take their time as long traffi queues are expected.
