Police in Birmingham have arrested a 27-yr-old man after they launched a manhunt for a male suspect who killed one and injured seven in a two hour stabbing rampage.
One male victim was killed, while a man and a woman are in serious condition in hospital. The other five victims are said to have ‘relatively minor’ injuries. The stabbing spree occured between 12:30AM and 2:30AM on Saturday night.
West Midlands Police say there is no suggestion the incident was gang related and say the attacks seemed random. They also ruled out the possibility of hate crime, despite one of the four crime scenes being located in a gay area.
It’s understood that street CCTV was the reason for them being to locate the suspect.
