Police in the UK have confirmed that they are investigating a tweet which was posted by Danny Baker in relation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex newborn baby.
According to Sky News, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they are looking into the incident.
Baker who has since apologised for the tweet, has been heavily criticised after he shared a photo of a man and a woman holding hands with a chimpanzee, with the caption ‘The new Royal Baby leaves hospital.’
Although Baker apologised for the tweet saying it was stupid and reckless, he has since been fired from his a role at the BBC.
The presenter also insisted that he meant no offence when posting the tweet and he is not a racist.
