According to reports this evening police in the North have discovered a large amount of weapons and explosives in woodland area near Lurgan.
Police believe the large weapons haul is that of dissident republicans. They also say a bomb is still being inspected in Lurgan, Co Armagh, and three firearms were also recovered.
Meanwhile Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Detective Superintendent Karen Baxter said: “We consider this to be a significant and successful find.
“It has made communities safer and it has undoubtedly saved lives.”
