Police in Co Fermanagh have confirmed that the woman found dead in a house in Lisnaskea was murdered.
According to local media reports police investigating the scene in the Abbey Road area of Lisnaskea, have said they are treating the deaths of a 51 year old woman and a 55 year old man as a murder suicide.
The woman involved in the horrific murder has been named locally as Concepta Leonard.
Meanwhile her son Conor, who is aged in his 30s,was also stabbed in the abdomen during the incident and is currently in stable condition in hospital.
The man who died at the scene and is believed to be the perpetrator of the attacks has been named locally as Peadar Phair.
PSNI Detectives have said they are currently not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident.
