Police in the UK have begun an investigation after a man was slashed in the face before Saturday evening’s FA Cup match between Millwall and Everton.
It is reported that the man aged in his 20s sustained wounds to his face after a brawl broke out before the game.
Police investigating the incident say the were made aware of the incident which occurred in the Hawkstone Road area of South East London.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police say they are currently reviewing CCTV footage in the area and an investigation is currently ongoing.
