

Police in Co Down have revealed that a 15-year-old girl who was found dead along with her mother in a murder suicide in Newry, died as a result of strangulation.
In tweet issued on Friday evening, the PSNI said that 15-year-old Allison Marmion Herrera died as a result of strangulation.
It is also believed that Allison’s mother Giselle, 37, was also killed by strangulation, however results of her post-mortem examination have yet to be proved to be conclusive.
Meanwhile the results on a 38-year-old man who oz believed to be Giselle’s partner found that his cause of death was by hanging.
The PSNI statement reads as follows: “Following post mortems detectives can confirm that the cause of 15 year old Allison Marimon-Herrera’s death was strangulation.”
“Results are not definitive for Giselle (37) however at this stage detectives believe there is a strong possibility she too was strangled.”
“Results of a post mortem on the body of a 38 year old man, who police believe was Giselle Marimon-Herrera’s partner and who also lived at the Glin Ree Court, Newry apartment, have concluded that he died by hanging.”
The news comes after the three people were tragically found dead at an apartment on Glin Ree Court, in the city on Thursday morning.
Officers investigating the case say they are currently not currently seeking anyone in connection with the deaths, but added an investigation is currently ongoing.
