Wrap up warm this weekend, as Met Eireann has predicted that we’re in for a very cold spell of weather.
Wintry showers and frost are forecast today and tomorrow, and early next week. It’s likely that some light snow and sleet showers will fall once again, like last Sunday, in high lying areas.
Today will see a band of showery rain moves eastwards across the country. There is a high likelihood of sleet showers, particularly over high ground.
A similar pattern of cold and blustery weather will remain tomorrow until at least Monday.
