In yet another bizarre woke report from the broadcasting company CNN, we are told certain Asia-inspired type-fonts are allegedly racist. RT says many are wondering if CNN has literally run out of things to be outraged about.
A report listed under the CNN style section, font designed to communicate “Asianness” used on restaurant menus, food packaging and shop fronts are offensive and stregthen “crude” stereotypes. CNN call these “chop suey” fonts and allege they have a dark and exploitive history that can be traced back to American propaganda posters and campaigns to stoke xenophobia. CNN even use a Nazi reference to legitimise their allegations and show of wokeness.
Many who identified themselves as having an Asian background said they weren’t bothered by the fonts and thought CNN was intentionally looking to stir up outrage, reports RT.
