Big tech’s attempt to censor alternative media has apparently backfired as popular radio show host and internet personality Alex Jones claims his Infowars’ newsletter has seen an extra 5.6 million people subscribe and the numbers continue to rise dramatically the, Daily Mail UK reported.

YouTube, Facebook, Apple, Spotify and other internet corporate giants all banned the outspoken alternative media stalwart in a co-ordinated effort to silence Jones, but now the conspiracy aficionado claims millions of new listeners and readers have flocked to his conservative, “anti-new world order” news site.

In an interview with the Daily Mail Jones’ has insisted that the tech giants such as Facebook and Google are working to destroy free speech on behalf of the political establishment and the U.S Democratic party.

The Silicon Valley corporate goliaths however, claim they censored for the bombastic Jones’ who has been trying to expose what he see’s as conspiratorial agenda to subvert the free world since the mid 1990’s, because he engaged in hate speech.

Meanwhile, other conservative and anti-establishments voices and outlets online have seen themselves increasingly targeted for censorship and recently Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was called to testify before congress for alleged politically motivated banning of some accounts on the social media network, particularly those of a conservative or pro-Trump outlook, Reuters reported.
