Twitter user @HelenTerfSwerf tweeted a warning to parents of Irish secondary school children earlier this week saying;
“Attention parents of secondary school kids in Ireland. Your children will be told to sign a pledge of allegiance to transgender ideology in the coming weeks. Please call your schools to refuse & to complain about this attempted indoctrination of our kids”.
The tweet was triggered when @HelenTerfSwerf read a post by Dublin Lord Mayor, Alison Gilliland (Labour Party).
MS Gilliland’s tweet said;
“Popped in to commend our fantastic
@DCCcomhairle as they were packing their LGBTQIA+ pledge packs being sent out to secondary schools next week.”
Some comments under the Lord Mayors tweet were not in agreement of what some are calling indoctrination of the children.
@siunanWTF71 replied;
“were TENI involved? Were belong to involved in these packs? Were parents consulted about this? These are very valid questions and they need to be answered.”
@ziltam replied;
“Children should NOT be signing ANY kind of pledge. It’s not right.”
@coetteen1 commented;
“What is the complete list of organisations consulted in the production of this kit? Were parents consulted? Private companies/lobbyists such as TENI and orgs with dubious track record on safeguarding such as BelongTo should not be involved.”
@henrymorgnl simply tweeted;
“Indoctrination”
