Politicans condemn more Pro-IRA chants at Dublin Airport following Ireland team video

Several politicians have condemned footage which appears to show a group of passengers at Dublin Airport singing a pro-IRA song.

The video was posted to social media on Saturday and features Celtic Symphony lyrics by The Wolfe Tones.

Alliance Party MP Stephen Farry said on Twitter: ‘Most disgraceful behaviour.

We are seeing a growing pattern of incidents of sectarian chanting in different parts of society.

Here are real dangers in this kind of behavior being normalized or considered acceptable.

Attempts to try to rationalize this are just as pathetic as the singing itself.

There was no good IRA with just ‘a few mistakes’. It all went wrong.

Northern Ireland Office Minister Steve Baker said: “I am deeply shocked and concerned to see this behaviour at Dublin Airport,” reports Mirror.

“This is profoundly disrespectful to the victims of terrorism” reported Mirror.

According to Mirror, Fianna Fail TD for Dublin North West Paul McAuliffe said: “We build the case for a united Ireland by creating a shared island”

One doesn’t necessarily lead to the other, but it makes this place we call home a better place for all of us to live

A Dublin Airport spokesperson said: “daa operates Dublin Airport and our top priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and staff and to operate the airport efficiently, reports Mirror.

He added, “The responsibility for the behavior of the passengers in this case rests entirely with the passengers in question,” reported by Mirror.

The incident comes days after terror victims condemned a video showing members of the Irish women’s national football team singing the same pro-IRA chant.
