Pope Francis has cancelled a morning Mass with US President Biden that was due to take place before their meeting on Tuesday as the Vatican fears backlash over the Pontiff administering Communion to the ardent pro-abortion leader.
Joe Biden markets himself as “devout catholic” and only the second of the faith to ever occupy the White House, after John F. Kennedy, but his support for so-called progressive policies such as gay marriage, transgender ideology, cultural Marxist dogma such as “critical race theory” and in particular, abortion, have led for many to call for him to be excommunicated from the church.
According to the Catholic News Agency, sources within the Vatican say the morning Mass was cancelled because of the potential scandal that could arise if Pope Francis were to give Holy Communion to the stalwartly pro-abortion president.
In Catholicism, only a person who has confessed to their mortal sins and refrained from committing any further such transgressions in the meantime, is permitted to receive communion.
Biden’s radically pro-abortion agenda is a grave sin in the eyes of the Catholic Church and concordantly he is therefore forbidden from receiving Communion.
