Pope Francis made an emotional and significant visit to Albania today. His life was said to be under threat by ISIS who issued threats to the Vatican during the week that were said to be ‘genuine and sincere’.
The murdering Islamic fundamentalists threatened to assassinate the Pontiff on his one-day visit to Albania. Instead of upping security, the popular Pope decided to continue with the original plan and drive around in his open-top Popemobile.
He did so and the trip was thankfully successful. He indirectly condemned ISIS by saying that religion can never be used to justify violence, which was a blatant jab at the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
