‘Portal’ linking Dublin and NYC is doing “ok” with new opening times and pixelated images

Following its halt earlier this week, the ‘portal’ that links Dublin and New York City has resumed operating this afternoon. However, it will now only be accessible during specific hours, reports RTE.

The two portals are a component of a public art initiative that seeks to use technology to bring people together on both sides of the Atlantic.

Real-time communication between New Yorkers, Dubliners, and tourists visiting both cities is made possible by the artwork, reports RTE.

Dublin’s entryway looks towards O’Connell Street, catching a glimpse of the Spire and the GPO.

One of the busiest junctions in the Big Apple, Broadway, Fifth Avenue, and 23rd Street, is where you can find the NYC entrance.

The live stream was suspended due to a number of incidences involving “inappropriate behaviour,” according to Dublin City Council, reports RTE.
