There are some good unemployment news this afternoon, as figures show a marked drop on people signing on.
According to official statistics, the Live Register fell by over 5,000 in July, or a 1.7%.
Figures for long-term claimants fell by over 23,000, or 14%, in July. The number now stands at 141,981.
However, unemployment traditionally decreases during the summer months due to people getting temporary summer jobs, or they simply emigrate.
