Two years after welfare payments for thousands of young people were cut by as much as €44 a week, it has emerged today that the Department of Social Protection may soon introduce a “boost” for those who are 26 and unemployed.
To qualify for this as of yet unspecified boost, people would have to sign up for either training or education programmes.
