The US state of Texas is suing the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin in the country’s Supreme Court for allegedly making unconstitutional changes to how their state votes.
The states which, are considered wins for Joe Biden, all extended voting deadlines, which President Trump’s legal team alleges was used to conduct massive election fraud, but the suit taken by Texas is not about fraud but rather the constitutionality of the voting extensions.
The defendant states governor’s, most of whom are Democrat, made the changes to the voting rules without the approval of their legislatures, most of which are Republican controlled, in violation of both Federal and state law.
A win for Texas in this lawsuit would see Joe Biden loose his electoral college lead and some of President Trump’s supporters even speculate that a Supreme Court win in this case could see the incumbent maverick seize victory from the jaws of defeat.
