Costly words: Man gets fined after going for a 280 MILE walk following a row with his wife




A man in Italy has been fined €400 after he went for a rather long and brisk walk following a row with his wife.

According to BBC News, the 48 year old man was given the hefty fine for breaking Covid-19 rules.

It is understood that the man who walked for a staggering 280 miles before being picked up by police.

The story which was initially reported in Resto del Carlino, states that police picked up the man after he was spotted walking aimlessly on a coastal road in the early hours of the morning.

It is reported that police discovered that the man was reported missing by his wife a week earlier after checking his ID.

According to reports in Italian media the man was later released from custody and was picked up by his wife.

The man who travelled from the city of Como to Fano, is believed to have broken Italy’s night time curfew which was introduced to curb the spread of Covid-19 cases.
