President Michael D. Higgins has signed a temporary eviction ban into law.
According to the terms, if a tenant is handed an eviction notice from November 1 on, they do not need to vacate the property until April 2023.
This comes as homelessness in Ireland is at an all-time high, due to the astonishing incompetence of successive Governments over the past decade or so.
