US President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor Barack Obama of orchestrating the “biggest political crime in American history, by far!” With the term #ObamaGate now trending on twitter.
The American President has been on the warpath over the debunked democrat conspiracy theory that he was installed by Russian President Vladimir Putin as leader of the United States and the recent exoneration of his friend and political ally General Michael Flynn has only stoked the fire.
Flynn had served as President Trump’s National Security adviser in the first days of his administration before being forced to leave the cabinet over charges of lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador to the United States.
Recently released FBI memos, however, show that FBI agents were instructed to entrap the war hero as part of a campaign to sow chaos in the Trump White House and damage the administration.
Since the charges relating to Russian collusion were dropped against General Flynn numerous Trump allies and supporters have called for criminal charges against those in the Obama administration who oversaw the beginnings of the probe including the former President himself.
President Trump retweeted a pundit saying that Obama had “used his last weeks in office to target incoming officials and sabotage the new administration” with many now calling for charges of treason against Barack Obama and for him to face punishment to the full extent of the law.
