Greta Thunberg is certainly not just your average teenager. In what many are describing as an incredible gesture, the 17-yr-old climate activist is going to donate $100,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund(UNICEF).
The 2019 Times Person of the year gained International recognition for promoting the view that humanity is facing an existential crisis arising from climate change,has now turned her attention towards the Covid 19 Pandemic.
She has asked everyone to “step up and join her in support of UNICEF’S vital work to save children’s lives,protect health and continue education”
According to Fox, the UNICEF Executive Director said “We are very pleased that Greta and her supporters have not only chosen to take a stand against this Pandemic,But to do so in partnership with UNICEF!
