Donald Trump has denied claims he enquired about adding his face to Mount Rushmore, but Tweets that it would be ‘a good idea’, the Guardian reports.
The President was accused in a New York Times report of asking about the process of joining the other
Presidents on one of America’s most iconic landmarks.
The governor of South Dakota claimed that Trump, while visiting the monument in the state, confided that
it was always his ‘dream’ to be featured on Rushmore.
Trump took to Twitter to blast the claims from the NYT and CNN as ‘fake news’, but asserted that because he has achieved more ‘than any other President’ it would be a ‘good idea’ for him to join Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt on the famous mountain sculpture.
