US President Donald Trump has welcomed an offer by retired MMA fighter and ex US army Green Barret Tim Kennedy and martial arts commentator and Spotify podcast host Joe Rogan to moderate a four hour debate between himself and Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
In a tweet Kennedy said:
“On my podcast with @joerogan he offered to moderate a debate between @JoeBiden and @realDonaldTrump It would be four hours with no live audience. Just the two candidates, cameras, and their vision of how to move this country forward. Who wants this?”
Donald Trump retweeted Kennedy’s post simply saying, “I do”.
Joe Rogan, whose podcast was bought by Spotify last month from YouTube for a record $100 million, said during his discussion with Kennedy that to avoid the bias in the media, he’d be happy to moderate a debate between Biden and Trump the New York Post reported.
Most major mainstream media outlets and personalities in the US have been accused of Trump supporters of holding an anti-Trump bias.
While President Trump quickly signalled his eagerness to take on Joe Biden in a Joe Rogan hosted four hour debate, Biden himself has not yet responded fuelling claims that his campaign and the Democratic party are desperate to avoid the two opponents going head to head.
