President Donald Trump declared that he “did very well” following his annual physical on Friday, reports Breaking News.
He praised his heart, soul, and mental sharpness, though he noted the official report from White House doctors might not be ready until later in the weekend.
The 78-year-old, who became the oldest president to take office in January, spent close to five hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center undergoing what he described as “every test you can imagine,” reports Breaking News.
“I was there for a long time,” he said. “I think I did very well,” reports Breaking News.
Although Trump frequently questioned former President Joe Biden’s fitness, he has often kept details about his own health under wraps, breaking from the traditional openness expected of presidents.
He said he expects the medical report to be available by Sunday, but if past patterns hold, the report might be light on detail and heavy on praise.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said while Trump was still undergoing tests that a statement from the White House physician would be shared “as soon as we possibly can” and that it would be thorough, reports Breaking News.
Trump left for Florida aboard Air Force One immediately after his exam.

Speaking to reporters on the plane, he said doctors gave him “a little bit” of advice about lifestyle changes but didn’t specify what they recommended.
“Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul,” Trump said, noting that he also took a cognitive test, reports Breaking News.
“I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right,” reports Breaking News.
He said he took the mental test because “that’s what the American people want” and criticized Biden again, saying, “Biden refused to take it.”
This physical exam would be the first public health update since an assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
Instead of releasing medical records at that time, Representative Ronny Jackson of Texas — a loyal supporter and former White House physician — released a memo describing a gunshot wound to Trump’s right ear, reports Breaking News.
Trump later told CBS he would “very gladly” release his medical records, though he never did.
While presidents have the same privacy rights as any citizen regarding their medical records, public physicals have long provided insight into a president’s health, reports Breaking News.
One of Trump’s most well-known comments about his health came in a 2020 interview when he recited “Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV” to showcase his cognitive abilities.
He claimed that recalling those words in order was proof of mental sharpness and part of a cognitive test he had mastered. When asked about the test again on Air Force One, he said: “It’s a pretty well-known test,” reports Breaking News.
“Whatever it is, I got every one — I got it all right,” he added, reports Breaking News.
