The United States has joined 32 other nations in signing up to a pro-life declaration in the United Nations last week.
Under the go ahead from President Trump, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo signed the US up to the he Geneva Consensus Declaration which calls on nations to “promote the rights of women and strengthen the family,” but stresses there is “no international right to abortion.”
Speaking at the signing of the declaration Secretary Pompeo said:
“Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States has defended the dignity of human life everywhere and always. He’s done it like no other President in history.”
President Trump has moved the enact pro-life legislation including signing an executive order requiring that babies born alive after a failed abortion must receive medical aid, cutting off public funding for abortion providers and cutting off US aid to abortion providing NGO abroad.
