After a very pressurised last couple of weeks, the Minister for Justice Helen McEntee said she is expecting a baby, which makes her the first cabinet member in state history to announce she was pregnant while still in office.
A ministerial spokeswoman said she and her husband Paul Hickey are expecting their first child, who will be born in May 2021.
McEntee made the announcement on social media, saying: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. Last Christmas as a duo though #babyonboard #excited”.
