The fortunes of one of Ireland’s prime retailers, Penneys, are certainly on the rise.
The brand, trading as Primark in the continent and in the US, has just opened its fifth outlet in the US in less than 12 months.
Two stores have opened across the pond in the past week: One on Willow Grove Park Mall in Pennsylvania (which opened for business just today, actually), and another at the Freehold Raceway Mall in New Jersey.
It is understood that about 500 new jobs will be created in these two new stores alone.
