Prince Andrew asks US Judge to drop his entire lawsuit

Britain’s Prince Andrew has filed a motion that requests a New York court completely dismiss a sexual harassment lawsuit against him, a court document has reveealed.

According to CNN, attorneys for Prince Andrew said in the filing that Andrew “respectfully moves to dismiss plaintiff Virginia Giuffre’s complaint.”

It’s very unlikely to happen though as the Judge has set a date for a hearing to be held by next summer.

A judge in the United States has set a deadline for Prince Andrew in mid-July 2022 to answer questions under oath in civil proceedings for sexual assault against him.

According to a US court document dated October 25, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan has set July 14 as the deadline for presenting all evidence, including a possible testimony from the Duke of York himself.

The appointment schedule signed by the New York judge means lawyers for Virginia Roberts will have to question Prince Andrew out of court and have the interview delivered by then.

Andrew, Queen Elizabeth’s second eldest son, is accused of sexual assault by Giuffre, who is pursuing the prince in New York.
