Prince William and Prince Harry issue joint statement denying bullying within the Royal Family

The British Royal family’s Prince William and Prince Harry have issued a joint statement in which they deny rumours swirling that there is “bullying” going within the royal household.

The statement makes reference to an unspecified newspaper that published the claims and said that they are “deeply unhappy” about the ‘false, offensive and potentially harmful’ assertions in article on their supposed ongoing family difficulties.

The latest series of rumours to emerge regarding the Royal Family was sparked by an announcement by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle that they would step back from their roles as senior royals, work to become financially independent and split their time between the UK and Canada.

The Statement comes a day after the queen summoned Princes Charles, William and Harry to Sandringham for a discussion on the recent developments within the Royal Family.

In full the statement reads:
“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge.
“For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
