The Irish Food Safety Authority has issued an urgent recall notice for a batch of Bandon Co-op butter, due to the possible presence of Listeria.
The batch in question has an expiration date of September 14 2019. It is understood that this batch was sold across stores in Co. Cork only.
Listeria can produce severe illness which may lead to death in patients with underlying health conditions.
