Ireland isn’t the only country experiencing brutal weather this summer, as the United Kingdom sees major flash-flooding from very heavy rainfall.
Heavy rain has caused flooding on roads across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire along with some counties in the South west.
Driving conditions became increasingly difficult over the past number of days as rainfall exceeded the normal time of year by 5 times in some areas.
The UK’s Met Office issued a status yellow weather warnings across the North West and North East of England. A total of 64 weather alerts are now in place across the country.
