Product recall: Johnston Mooney & O’Brien recalls several batches of bread due to possible contamination with rubber pieces

The popular Irish bread company has issued a recall notice for several batches of its Toastie brand, due to possible contamination with small rubber pieces.

The batches affected are Toastie 800g sliced pan, with a Best Before Date 29 September, Codes D 27 and E27.

The company released as statement saying “To the best of our knowledge there is no risk to consumers who may have already consumed the product,”

“Any potentially affected packs have been removed from the supermarket shelves in co-operation with the retail trade and any that were in the distribution system have been recalled by the company.”

If you have purchased this item, you can return it to the point of sale for a refund.
