Tesco have issued a product recall after one of their products was sold without the proper ingredients on the label.
In a statement earlier today Tesco say their product The Finest Chocolate Cake was sold in the wrong packaging.
Tesco say the product affected has a best before date of January 17 the 2018 and the batch number D32/18003.
Meanwhile the Food Safety Authority of Ireland also posted the following message on its website which reads: “Tesco is recalling a batch of its Finest Chocolate Cake as some of it was incorrectly packed with carrot cake.”
“The carrot cake contains walnuts which are undeclared on the label.”
This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of walnuts.”
Tesco say anyone who returns the item are entitled to a full refund and they also apologise for any inconvenience caused.
