Professor Philip Nolan has revealed that Ireland’s Covid-19 reproductive number is currently between 1.0 and 1.2.
Speaking at the NPHET briefing professor Nolan said the disease is continuing to grow but outbreaks are coming under control.
However Nolan warned that the virus is spreading amongst these outbreaks.
Professor Nolan said that we must continue to surpress the virus over the next two weeks and this requires a national effort.
