A protest has been planned to demand the removal of Roderic O’Gorman as Minister for Children immediately following “vile social media posts”.
At 2pm on Saturday, July 11th, people are being asked to gather outside the Dail gates to voice their concern and demand the immediate sacking of Roderic O’Gorman as Minister for Children.
All health guidelines, including social distancing will be fully adhered to on the day.
The new Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman has received a massive backlash for social media posts that were re-shared on his account.
O’Gorman is the firstly openly gay man to take up the position, but social media users are stating that it has absolutely nothing to do with that fact.
State media completely ignored the below images and the mass controversy that has erupted as a result, but immediately published O’Gorman’s statement today.

This is O’Gorman’s statement that he released today:
A small group of people with a very clear agenda have been making allegations about me on social media over the last few days.
I’m taking this opportunity to set the record straight. pic.twitter.com/AKKLkauYvg
