Melbourne has been put into lockdown following a rapid increase in coronavirus cases in recent days.
Medical authorities there confirmed that 191 new cases had been detected in 24h, leading to immediate lockdown orders.
The entire state of Victoria will now be effectively isolated from the rest of the country.
