Boris Johnson’s first day at the top job began on a troubled note, as the car carrying him was forced to swerve around a group of protesters gathered outside Buckingham Palace.
It is understood that the protesters were demonstrating against climate change.
Mr. Johnson did ultimately manage to enter the palace and have his audience with the Queen. The ceremony means that he has officially become the new British Prime Minister.
