PSNI arrest three people after a row broke out at a Traveller funeral in Strabane, Co Tyrone

The PSNI have arrested three people after a row broke up this morning at funeral in a church on Melmount Rd, Strabane, Co. Tyrone.

It’s understood that a 32-yr-old man, a 22-yr-old man and 17-yr-old male have been arrested and are being questioned over the disturbance.

PSNI Officers have confirmed that a large number of weapons, including a hatchet, stanley knives and a screwdriver were seized.

Thankfully Officers were able to to remove the items without anyone getting seriously injured. PSNI Officers said that they were aware of a video being shared on whatsapp declaring that gunshots were fired, but said that thankfully no shots were fired and the noise from the row was misinterpreted as gunshots.
