Public are demanding Varadkar does not to travel to US for St Patrick’s Day jollies

Because of the US government’s support of Israel’s activities in Gaza, the public has encouraged Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to forego his trip to the US on St Patrick’s Day, reports Breaking News.

According to documents obtained by BreakingNews.ie under the Freedom of Information Act, the Taoiseach’s office has received over 4,000 inquiries on his upcoming visit to the White House.

On St. Patrick’s Day, the Taoiseach is customarily present. However, others have called for a boycott of this year’s visit due to Israel’s activities in Gaza.

One email addressed to the Taoiseach had said: “I presume you would find it difficult… to shake hands with President Biden as he continues to veto any UN ceasefire and instead gives a green light to further destruction and devastation on the Palestinian people,” reports Breaking News.

Emails to the Taoiseach often mentioned US President Joe Biden endorsing Israel’s activities; one such email said: “The United States Government led by the Biden administration is corrupt and evidently complicit in the genocide of well over 20,000 Palestinians and displacement of many others. The Irish Government cannot turn a blind eye and present shamrocks while so many children, women, men and journalists (who dare to show the world the truth) are slaughtered daily,” reports Breaking News.
