Public asked to begin Christmas shopping early in order to stop queues this December

The public are being asked to consider beginning their Christmas shopping earlier this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In an announcement Dublin Town which represents retailers in the capital asked the public to help support the Irish economy by starting their festive shopping early.

The organisation say the appeal comes as they are looking to avoid unnecessary queuing over the Christmas period which could ultimately lead to possible problems in December.

They are also asking the public who do their shopping online to support Irish based retailers in order to help keep essential businesses afloat.

Dublin Town say the change in shopping could make it easier for consumers and potentially save a lot of Irish businesses who are struggling during the pandemic.
