The killer clown craze that has gripped the world has seemingly gotten way out of hand with hundreds if not thousands of people being terrified for no particular reason except for what some strange individuals would call fun.
Well now it seems the public has had enough and have struck back quite literally after a man in the UK took matters into his own hands and headbutted one of the creepy clowns after he leaped out armed with a baseball bat.
The victim of the backlash who surely will receive little sympathy, Ashley Symes, 23, got more than he bargained for after he dressed up in a red wig and creepy mask and armed himself with a baseball bat.
The scene of the fightback occurred at Dockside Outlet Centre in Chatham, Kent, in the South East of England, when Mr Symes chose the wrong man to leap out on after a number of other attacks earlier on.
It is believed the unsuspecting victim, who was on high alert (presumably after hearing various media reports about the clown craze) instinctively responded by deliberately headbutting the clown he thought was about to attack him.
To make matters worse for Mr Symes the man’s friend, acting as back-up, then chucked his milkshake all over him.
Thankfully the situation didn’t escalate into something much worse as Syme’s friend – who was filming the prank stopped the assault by running to his aid shouting ‘It’s a prank! It’s a prank!’
