There’s now a very serious problem facing pubs and it’s not just the fact that they can’t open their doors and serve their regulars.
According the Vintners Association, there’s going to be thousands placed into mortgage arrears by the end of September if the government don’t act quickly and let pubs reopen.
Banks had a 6-month stay on mortgage repayments but they’re not going to extend it once that time frame expires at the end of the month.
