Pubs wishing to open on June 29th can do so provided they serve a meal costing no less than €9.
Under the Intoxicating Liquor Act of 1962, the meal which can be served at midday or evening must be substantial and be constituted as a main course.
According to Fáilte Ireland the new guidelines have been outlined by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
It is understood that pubs serving such food must charge a reasonable price and it must be no less than €9.
